First of all I love your station. When I am forced to listen to another station ,it drives me crazy to wait through all the commercials to listen to one song the another barrage of commercials . Thanks for the commercial free hours. I have heard your editorial about the tax on free music. When will all this taxation stop. We only have so much money in our wallets. As I see it,we now pay about 70% of our earnings in taxes. That does not leave much for living. Everything you do is taxed.Just look at your phone bill, oil bill, gas purchase, property taxes, income tax and just about anything else you purchase. When will it stop? You said that Lee Iacocca said "get the bums out". Sounds good to me ,but how. They make all the rules that we must follow. They work for us---RIGHT. How can an employee decide what their salary and benefits will be and the force the employer to pay it . Give themselves a raise, give themselves benefits for life. How do we as taxpayers stop them. If we vote them out .we will only get new people just as bad or worse. What can we do? I am really afraid that this whole country is on a downward spiral and there is nothing we can do but watch as these bozos keep spending our money for themselves and keep pulling the money out of our pockets.I am really serious, HOW CAN WE STOP THEM

Joe,

While I do support your cause of no performance tax and have contacted Kanjorski's office to express my concerns, I feel your latest editiorial is more of a political statement smacking the Democratic party and less to do with the cause at hand. I think your message would carry more weight if you were less caustic when you identify the people in question as "Democrat" and stick to the message. I surely do not agree with the Congress members in question and think any additional taxes, especially those that would favor foreign interests, are a slap in the face,to the hard working people of this country. When the big oil companies were reaping windfall profits and the Republican Congress granted them tax relief, I didn't hear anything in an editorial. I think you need to keep the message as the key, not the affiilation of the representatives. Whether Democrat or Republican, this tax is a bad idea.
Thanks for listening
