Baloney! Doesn't everyone pay enough, for concert tickets, C.D.s, and merchandise. The artists should look at the people, like agents and music companies, getting top dollar and them getting squat. That is because, there are too many agents and producers and all that , getting more than their share. Look, before you sign that contract.

I see your concern in this matter. I am a friend of the owner's of JJ's Food & Spirits in Berwick. They continue to receive letters from BMI and ASCAP for a payment to each of them for the royalties of the music performers since we have bands and DJ's entertaining in their establishment. If it weren’t for people coming and listening to bands, DJ's or radio stations there would be no promotion on their sales of CD's in the stores. They should be paying us, LOL. It is already hard enough for small business owners to stay above water and the government tries to take every little bit that we earn. All these larger companies continue to be bailed out by our government. You don't see them helping us, I guess I will get off my soapbox and end here. What is this world coming to!
